My 50 Year Journey with Adi Da Samraj

This platform, created by Julie Anderson (with editorial and technical help from Nick Eisen) is born out of five decades (1976-2026) of direct, intimate human and spiritual relationship with Siddha Adi Da Samraj. Living both in close physical proximity and at a distance, I experienced first hand the ordinary human and profound nuances of His Transmission, Instructions, and daily life. Our connection was about going beyond what is pre-written or pre-programmed; it was and is a deeply alive humanly incarnate, spiritual and transcendental Reality Truth “consideration”. This extensive, lived timeline provides the foundation for the insights shared here, offering a voice deeply rooted in real-world devotee experience rather than detached observation.

A Compassionate and Objective Devotee Critique

True spiritual integrity requires the willingness to examine our collective and individual practice with absolute honesty. This site serves as an insightful, compassionate yet objective critique of Adidam and the collective of responsive beings, exploring the delicate balance between genuine devotion and institutional blind spots and necessary critiques. Rather than defaulting to blind submission or complete dismissal, we step into the "waters" of critical consideration. By investigating the history, the lessons, and the human friction within the Sangha, this space encourages responsive human beings to evaluate where we truly stand in relation to Adi Da’s calling.

Navigating Adidam After Mahasamadhi

One of the central themes is the ongoing “evolution” of Adidam following Adi Da’s Mahasamadhi. We look closely at critical questions regarding succession, spiritual validation and how 7th Stage Realization continues to manifest when the Spiritual Master is no longer physically present. By examining His Explicit Instructions and Life, via heart feeling openness, we explore what an open, honest, fair, and unbiased reception and understanding is. And, how the Transmission of Conscious Light remains receptively, mutually alive as an active force of transformation. We can engage as a community of tolerant and cooperative friends, students and practitioners (including adversaries). All this, doing so in the world and not as self-other destructive "cultists".

Moving Beyond Conventional Religion to Radical Understanding

Ultimately, the Teachings of Adi Da call us to transcend conventional religious structures, which often fail to bring about actual Divine Awakening. Through essays, historical research and shared media, this platform illuminates the radical process of human and spiritual transcendence of egoity and 7th stage Enlightenment. We explore what it means to practice true surrender without "a leg to stand on," moving beyond the myth that is mind as we embrace the limitless Divine Self-Being AS Love-Bliss that Adi Da IS and Revealed. IF rightly understood, we can relate to "Bright" Siddha Da, Who, having “come down”, pervading and surrounding all, manifests here, in and as all. In recognizing Reality Being Itself, we can relate non-separately, actively non-different and all inclusive.
